I don’t think Eric particularly wants to look like a tough guy. He just acts the way he has to to get information, and get people to do what he wants. The sock method works better with kids than scaring them into mutism would.
Hehehe. Oh yeah, he has siblings. My only question is, younger or older? That bit with the peice of paper I can so see a younger brother doing, but this screams older sibling.

@ Stormhawk: I though Eric was still wearing his shoes at this point. I probably would have been somewhat of a pain to take off his shoes just to get his sock for a puppet. Also, if they had been walking the whole day, would his socks be all gross and sweaty? But good point, haha.
