I’ve decided to consolidate all of the news into one news post so here goes:

Picatrix is on hiatus while I work on another comic-related project. I’ll talk more about that later on when I have more to say… for now, I’m just drawing a lot ^-^; I’m calling the hiatus indefinite for now because I’m not sure when I’ll finish up this other project. I’m looking at September but that’s not set in stone. As soon as I get definite news about that, I’ll post and update the newsletter/ mailing list thingy ^-^ Hmmmm, and now that I think about it, I completely forgot to update the RSS feed thingy ;_; I’ll get that fixed over the weekend.

The newsletter/mailing list: Up above there. I’ll send out a message via the list if I can get a page up here or there while on this hiatus and I’ll post to it as soon as I know for sure when the hiatus will be over. Just a heads-up, a lot of people have been been having their confirmation email snagged by their spam filters so if you don’t get one, check there. If it’s still not there or if you can’t see the form to sign up, shoot me an email and I’ll get you on the list ^-^

I’ve shut off the comment system on the site, except for posts made within the last 14 days. Also, on June 20th, I’ll be removing all comments from the comic pages amid complaints from new users that waiting for the comments to load is slowing the site down and making it difficult to navigate the archives. And it should make moderating the site waaaaay easier on my part ^-^;

On June 20th, I’m also going to take down the forum. It’s pretty dead, anyway…. and I, uh, kind of forgot to move the forum over to the new server when I changed a few months ago. I don’t know why the forum is even still working ^-^;;; But anyway I would like to move from the per-page comment system to a forum… that way, we still get the discussion but without slowing down the site for new users.

And finally…. my usual problem of being REALLY behind on email. A virus pretty much wiped out my computer (good thing I back everything up everything important to a spare hard drive every night!) so I’ve been spending a lot of time purging and restoring things. Insidious thing… got on the computer as a trojan that downloaded a bunch of other nasty stuff. Got right past my antivirus program Grrrrrr. But anyway, I’m slow and hard to get ahold of so I apologize about that >-<
